The Nigerian American Awards initiative was officially licenced in January 2019 by Afolabi Andu, the Founder of the Nigerian Achievers Awards Institute, an awards body established to license awards and prize programmes relevant to the Nigerian community worldwide.
The Nigerian American Awards programme is designed primarily to recognize and honour Nigerians based in the United States for their outstanding feats of achievement in America.
